Parent Services and Eligibility Team
Our Highly trained staff of Parent Services Specialists work with thousands of families each year. They help parents find quality child care and determine eligibility for School Readiness child care funding (subsidized) and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), and answer questions regarding child care arrangements. Information from our database includes curriculum, location, operating times, and fee schedules. Parent Services Specialists work closely with families to keep them abreast of the latest issues relating to child care, health, social education, and developmental issues.
Services include:
- Consumer education for parents
- Eligibility for school readiness funding assistance
- Eligibility for Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten
- Connecting parents with quality child care resources
- Community services referrals
- Administering child care for the Teen Age Parent Program (TAPP)
- Maintenance of the waiting list for placement
- Emergency placement for protective services
