The Infant Toddler Specialist assists child care providers who want to improve the quality of their infant and toddler programs through assessment and training. The Infant Toddler Specialist also provides technical assistance with developmental or behavioral concerns unique to the infant and toddler age group. Kelly Todd & Heather Ruppel, Developmental Screening Specialists. The Developmental Screening Specialists score and record developmental screenings (Ages and Stages Questionnaire/ASQ) for funded children in registered and licensed child care settings. They provide technical assistance for children with two or more low ASQ scores and make referrals when necessary. Kathy Worthen, Community Health Nurse. The Community Health Nurse offers health screenings for funded children in level 3 and 4 child care centers and family child care homes. The nurse checks height and weight and screens for vision, hearing, or dental concerns, making referrals when necessary. Greta Hock, Inclusion Specialist. The Inclusion Specialist offers technical assistance, training, and resources to child care providers serving children with disabilities, special needs, or developmental delays. Beth Hoffman, Resource Specialist. Resource Van Driver. The Resource Specialist services both family care center homes and child care centers in Okaloosa and Walton counties.
